What’s in Store!

Three times a year Fox Farm opens it's gates to the public for sales of unique and unusual plants, grown here on the farm.   Cindy has propagated so many beautiful, northwest hardy plants that they’re bursting out of the greenhouse door.  She needs to clear out plants so she can grow more!

And that is really how the “Great Fox Farm Annual Plant Sales” got started!

• Annual Spring Sale

• Sixth Annual Vashon Island Lavender Harvest Celebration
  July 19th and 20th 2008, 10am-5pm 
  
  
• Annual Fall Yard Sale
  October 5^th 2008, from 10am-5pm. 
  Rare and hard to find specimens can often be found at our plant sales.

Samplings of plants from past sales are:

• Hellebore seedlings from Elfi Rahr's.  These internationally recognized hellebores add a beautiful splash of color.
• Aquilegias (columbines). They're very special and not commonly found in the nursery trade.   A.skinneri, A. buergeriana 'Calimero' and A. viridiflora.
• Lavender plants of Fox Farm Grosso and several unusual L.angustifolias:  L. angustifolia 'Sarah' and 'Buena Vista' and 'Folgate'.  All brilliantly colored early bloomers with fabulous scent.
• Digitalis parviflora 'Milk Chocolate' (3' and chocolate!)
• Campanula punctata var. rubriflora (red spots, lovely and unique)
• Penstemon tolmei (for rock garden folk...4")
• Penstemon smallii (non stop bloomer)
• Mimulus lewisii (brilliant pink monkey flower)
• Mimulus cardinalis (hummingbird favorite)
• Scrophularia auriculata 'Variegata' (this lovely plant grows in sun or shade)
• Sambucus 'Black Beauty' (deep burgundy elderberry 6', wow)
